Thank you for reading Sarah. Actually, there is a huge difference between (plantation) slaves and the pyramid builders. In Ancient Egypt, a pharaoh was worshiped as part of the Egyptian religion and culture. It was believed that when the pharaoh died, only if he was buried correctly the Sun would rise again the next day. Since the pyramids were the tombs of the pharaohs, building them was like an investment in the well-being of every Egyptian. In the documentary, it was found that the food for the pyramid builders was provided from all over Egypt, so it was like a ‘national project’ for the future and prosperity of the entire nation :)
