Thank you for reading Lawrence! Child mortality in Ancient Egypt was very high. And especially infant mortality since a lot of women and babies died during childbirth. Another cause was contaminated water and food (water in Ancient Egypt was so polluted that they made beer out of it to make it safe), malaria, parasites, and so on. Since Ancient Egyptian medicine was not at today's level, those problems turned out to be fatal, especially for children :)
